Education and training are the keys to our prosperity. As a parent whose four children each attended different public high schools and ten different public schools in all, I am well aware of the difference in the quality of education from school to school. Raising expectations of students, parents and teachers is my determined focus. We are finding ways to raise the level of education for all students.
In addition, our government must be fiscally responsible and held accountable to us. The spending spree must stop. Bringing good paying jobs to our area is an immediate and long term priority. Lowering taxes will spur growth, thus expanding the tax base which will enlarge state revenues.
